East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar symbolically gave social assistance funds from East Jakarta Baznas Bazis to Marbot (musala and mosque caretakers), Koranic teachers, and Quran Education Park (TPQ) teachers in the Hall of Mayor's Office Block C Building, on Tuesday (4/12).

According to him, the assistance provided was in the form of Rp 1 million in cash, with details of Rp 700,000 in cash and Rp 300,000 in the form of shopping vouchers at shopping centers that had collaborated with the Jakarta administration.

Eight Social Packages Distributed to Self-isolating Patients in JelambarEast Jakarta Baznas Bazis Coordinator Eka Napisah explained this year's total assistance distributed was Rp 4.5 billion which was given to 4,500 people consisting of 1,200 Koranic teachers, 1,150 TPQ teachers, 850 honorary teachers, 1,000 musala and mosque caretakers, and 300 Muslim preachers.
"All of this assistance comes from the community's ZIS fund and we manage it," she explained.
Suhandi (59), a Marbot of Al Mukminn Mosque, Jalan Kayu Manis 9, Matraman admitted that he was very happy and grateful, as it was the first time he had received the social assistance.
"Alhamdulillah, this is indeed very useful to meet my daily needs," he stated.
